Getting started

When you call to arrange your first visit with Dr. Demetrios Sengos or Dr. JR Cassidy, please have handy your dental benefits information, if any. Between your call and your visit, we’ll check to see what your plan will cover, both for the initial appointment and subsequent trips. It’s also very helpful to us to learn whether you were referred by another patient, an dental benefits provider, or learned about us via our website.

Your first visit—what to expect

For your first visit, we request that you come in 15 minutes earlier than your appointment time so we can fill out your medical history on our state-of-the-art PC tablet system. If you have dental dental benefits, we’ll go over that with you, explaining your coverage and possible out-of-pocket expenses. We’ll then take a set of dental X-rays and show you a video presentation about dental care.

During your first meeting with Dr. Demetrios Sengos or Dr. JR Cassidy you will be given a comprehensive dental/periodontal examination and consultation. If no corrective work needs to be done, you’ll be scheduled for a cleaning. If work is required, it will be discussed in detail with you and we’ll figure out a convenient time for taking care of it. If you have dental benefits, we’ll send your provider pre-estimates—we do our best to make sure that if there are any out-of-pocket costs, they don’t come as a surprise.
